What conversion does not do

  • Changing formats cannot restore detail that is missing from a low-resolution or heavily compressed source.
  • Animated images are rendered as a still frame because browser canvas export does not preserve animation.
  • The SVG output wraps a raster image inside an SVG file; it does not trace the picture into editable vector paths.
